Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the tour?
For walking tours: I propose two slots per day: 9:30am – 12:30pm and 2pm – 5pm. In the beginning of the tour children will be given an activity booklet that we will fill out together during our stops. I will tell you stories (historically accurately) and we might try to play out an event or two. These tours are fun. Even if the subject isn’t always light, I always try to put a positive spin on every situation.
This is a walking tour so we will be outside the whole time. During the Jewish tour we usually make a stop at a historic synagogue (I can confirm at booking).
For museum tours: a fun activity booklet for children (if an adult wants one too, please let me know 48h in advance and I will make sure you get one too). Additionally, lots of interesting stories and games inside the museum.
What is NOT included in the tour?
Food and drinks are not included in the tour. I am happy to point out my favorite spots and give recommendations, we can even make as many stops as you like for snacks or sweets along the way but these goodies are not a part of the tour price.
How many people can come on a tour?
The maximum number of people for a museum tour is 6 people + me (I’m not included in the 6). Why only 6 people? Because after 6 people French museums require a special group reservation which is nearly impossible to book unless you book 6+ months in advance.
What do I need to bring on the tour?
Comfortable shoes, a water bottle and a camera! Don’t forget a raincoat or umbrella in case the weather turns sour. If we are scheduled to go inside a synagogue on our tour please bring your passports.
How do I pay?
Once we have found a date and time that works for you, I will send you booking link to pay online through the website. You can pay with all major credit cards.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes, absolutely. You will receive an itemized receipt via email to confirm your booking and proof of payment.
What if I am late for my tour?
I will wait for you at the arranged meeting point for 15 minutes, longer if you notify me via phone or whatsapp. However, the tour will likely be shortened so that it finishes at the originally scheduled time. I often have multiple tours per day and I cannot be late for my next tour.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel for a refund up to 72 hours before your tour, after this time refunds will no longer be possible. Prepaid museum tickets and payment transaction fees are not refundable.
What if the weather is not cooperating?
My walking tours go ahead as planned, rain or shine. I will look for ways to keep you comfy and mostly out of the rain. Refunds are not available for rainy days or inclement weather conditions. Please be sure to have weather-appropriate clothing: a warm jacket, an umbrella + comfy shoes. If we have to make a stop and hide from the rain I will continue talking to you about Paris and/or answer any questions you might have about life in France. But be aware, it rains a lot in Paris, especially from October to March.
